Ravenscar House

The Ravenscar Trust worked with the Canterbury Museum to provide a new home for the Ravenscar Collection of New Zealand fine and decorative arts, sculpture, designer furniture and classical antiquities. Ravenscar House was developed and funded by the Ravenscar Trust to replace the original Ravenscar House at Scarborough, the former home of Trust benefactors Jim and Dr Susan Wakefield.

This project was the Supreme, National Category and Value Category Winner, and Gold Award recipient at the 2022 New Zealand Commercial Project Awards.

Aldersgate Centre

The Aldersgate Centre is the home of the Durham Street Methodists and their Streets Ministry and other community activities. The building provides a base for other organisations working locally and internationally for social justice, including Christchurch Methodist Mission and Christian World Service.

This project won a Gold Award and was the National Category Winner in the 'Tourism and Leisure' category at the 2021 New Zealand Commercial Project Awards. Project Manager Hayley Groves also won Highly Commended in the 'Consultants' category at the 2020 New Zealand Building Industry Awards for her work as Project Manager on the Aldersgate project.

Te Korowai

Home of Presbyterian Support (Upper South Island)

New administration office in Christchurch for Presbyterian Support to replace their former earthquake damaged building.

Weteriana House

The Methodist Church of New Zealand new national head office building replaces their former earthquake damaged offices in Latimer Square. The building includes two additional commercial tenancies on the upper floor.

Hope Presbyterian Church Rolleston

A new building for Hope Presbyterian Church in Rolleston providing a dedicated home for the Parish. The new Church will provide worship space, Sunday school rooms, meeting spaces, offices, kitchen and facilities that will also be available for use by local community groups.

 
 
 

Baring Square Methodist Church

The 1930s Baring Square Methodist Church has been closed since the 2011 earthquake due to being earthquake prone and significantly damaged. The project includes the strengthening of the existing brick Church and addition of new facilities including Parish offices, meeting rooms, kitchen and bathrooms.

Hope Presbyterian Church - West Melton

Redevelopment of an existing 1960s with construction of a new worship auditorium to accommodate a growing congregation

St Margaret’s Church

The original St Margaret’s Church was destroyed by fire in 2016. The Parish used this opportunity to design a modern Church facility with a multi-purpose worship space and large foyer and catering facilities for both the Church and local community to enjoy. The new build is connected via a covered link to the existing hall building. The new facility opened in March 2023.

 
 
 

Christchurch South Tongan Methodist Church

Following the Christchurch earthquakes the existing Tongan Methodist Church was strengthened and the former hall demolished and replaced by a new multi-purpose hall and foyer connected to the Church. The building provides a place for the local Tongan community to meet together.
